Platform: Windows only
AnyDesk provides two main methods to invite another user to connect to your device:
Email invitation
Direct invitation (available in AnyDesk 7 and later)
Email invitation
In desktop-based clients prior to AnyDesk 7, you can generate an email template containing your AnyDesk ID or alias and a link to the AnyDesk website. This template opens in your default browser.
To access this feature:
Click the Invitation Email link under your AnyDesk ID, or
Right-click your AnyDesk ID and select the email option from the context menu.
In AnyDesk 7 and later, you can invite a user via email by:
Right-clicking your AnyDesk ID and selecting Invite via email...
The recipient can copy the ID from the email into their AnyDesk client and click Connect to initiate a session request.
Direct invitation
Starting with AnyDesk 7, you can send direct invitations to other users using AnyDesk 7 or later.
To send a direct invitation:
Click the invitation icon next to your AnyDesk ID.
Enter the recipient’s AnyDesk ID or Alias.
Select the permission profile that will be applied during the session.
💡 NOTE
Permissions can be changed during the session using the Accept window, unless they are locked by custom client settings.
After sending the invitation:
The recipient will receive a notification in their AnyDesk client and a pop-up notification in the bottom-right corner of their screen.
The notification shows your AnyDesk ID and alias, and allows the recipient to Accept or Reject the request.
While the invitation is pending, you can modify or cancel it.
🚨 IMPORTANTThe invitation expires after 2 minutes.
If the user clicks Connect, the session will start automatically with the permissions you specified.
You can also initiate a session invitation by right-clicking a contact tile in Favorites, Recent Sessions, Discovery, or the Address Book, and selecting Invite.
