# Supported operating systems

AnyDesk is compatible with a wide range of operating systems across desktop, mobile, and embedded platforms. Below is a detailed overview of supported systems.

### Desktop operating systems

| **Operating System** | **Supported Versions** | **Notes** |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Windows** | - Windows XP SP2 and later - Windows Server 2003 SP2 or later | Including Windows 7, 8.1, 10, 11 |
| **macOS** | 11 Big Sur and later | Remote control of a macOS device is only possible after giving the correct system permissions. For more details, see [this article](/v1/docs/security-permissions-on-macos). |
| **Linux** | - Ubuntu 18.04 and later - Debian 10 and later - RHEL 8 and later - Open SUSE 42/15 - Linux Mint 21 and later / LMDE 6 and later | **Wayland:** Only outgoing sessions supported **Xorg:**Required for incoming sessions AnyDesk may also function on other distributions not officially listed, but with no guaranteed support. |
