Step 1. Install the appliance
First, you need to download and install the appliance installation package to your local Linux machine.
To install the appliance:
- Log in to my.anydesk and download the appliance installation package according to the Linux distribution you use.
- Install the appliance using one of the following commands, where x.x.x is the latest appliance version:
- Debian/Ubuntu
sudo apt-get install ./ad-appliance_x.x.x_amd64.deb
- RHEL
-
sudo yum install ./ad-appliance-x.x.x.x86_64.rpm
Step 2. Download the license file
After installing the appliance, you need to activate the On-Premises server with the license file, which you can download from my.anydesk. To find the license file:
- On my.anydesk, go to the Activate section and click Download.
Step 3. Configure the On-Premises Web UI
To set up the On-Premises Web UI:
- Open your internet browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc..).
- Access the Web UI:
- If you are accessing the Web UI on the appliance server itself, enter the following address in the browser's address bar – https://localhost:8100
- If you are accessing the Web UI from another computer or device, use the appliance's IP address instead of 'localhost'. Ensure that port 8100 is accessible from your network. Enter the following address in the browser's address bar – https://<appliance_IP_address>:8100
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Step 4. Upload the license file to On-Premises Web UI
To upload the license file:
- Access the On-Premises Web UI (https://localhost:8100).
- On the General page, click License File.
💡 You can also go to Settings > License > License file.
- Upload the license file you downloaded in Step 2.
Step 5. Download the server certificate from On-Premises Web UI
You can now download the server certificate from the On-Premises Web UI. To do that:
- Access the On-Premises Web UI (https://localhost:8100).
- Go to Settings > License > Server Certificate.
- Click Download Server Certificate.
Step 6. Provide IP addresses and upload server certificate to my.anydesk II
- On my.anydesk, go to Step 2 in the Dashboard and provide the IP address of the machine that hosts the On-Premises appliance.
- Click Next.
- On the next page, upload the server certificate that you downloaded from the
On-Premises Web UI and click Next.
After successfully setting up the AnyDesk On-Premises, you can create your own custom clients for your local environment.
