FAQ
Why does AnyDesk not turn on Privacy Mode when I connect?
The Privacy Mode feature helps enhance security by hiding the screen content from the other side when you’re working remotely. It is only available on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
If Privacy Mode isn't working, it could be due to one of the following reasons:
- The remote device doesn't have the AnyDesk client installed.
- The remote device does not allow Privacy Mode.
- The remote device doesn't support Privacy Mode (for example, it’s running Windows 7 or an outdated AnyDesk version).
- The remote device lacks the necessary system permissions to enable Privacy Mode.
- The remote device doesn't have the required hardware to support Privacy Mode.
Additionally, the feature is available for users with paid licenses only.
If you want to use a certain AnyDesk feature, refer to our license comparison table and select the license plan that suits your needs best.
