If you are connected via LAN but experiencing performance issues, AnyDesk might not be using a direct connection. Instead, the session may be routed through the public AnyDesk network.

To ensure a direct LAN connection:

  1. Check for the Direct Connection Toolbar Symbol  icon
This icon in the session toolbar confirms a direct LAN connection. If it is missing, a direct connection is not active.

  2. Enable direct connections
Go to Settings > Connections and ensure Allow direct connections is enabled.

  3. Reconnect the session
Close the session and reconnect. This allows AnyDesk to re-establish the connection using the updated settings.

💡 NOTE

Installing AnyDesk instead of running it in portable mode improves LAN detection and connection reliability.
